Customer Services Administrator

Sharon joined Residential Rentals in September 2007 in customer services. Originally from South Africa she moved to New Zealand with her husband and two children. Back home she gained over 7 years customer service experience in the banking sector and ran a small catering business.

Sharon loves working with people and enjoys the varied aspects of her position. She is challenged by the role as not one day is the same as the next. Sharon enjoys meeting the tight deadlines and helping out our owners and tenants at all times.

Valerie van Staden

Personal Assistant

Valerie joined the Rolston Group in 2004 and is an integral part of the company. Although mainly behind the scenes, her main focus is making sure that every area is running smoothly, effectively and efficiently. You could say Valerie's  role consists of organiser, socialiser and Mother-Hen all rolled into one.

Valerie's background is in PA and she moved here with her family from South Africa in 2001. Valerie enjoys gardening, socialising and having a good laugh.  

Kyla de Graaf

Property Inspection Representative

Kyla joined Residential Rentals in February 2012 as our Property Inspection Representative. Kyla is new to the property field. She loves being out of the office, meeting our tenants and owners. Kyla is looking forward to helping all of our tenants and owners.

Kyla enjoys socialising and watching new release movies.

Chris Bates

Property Administrator

Chris joined Residential Rentals in March 2012. She has lived in Pakuranga/Howick for over 30 years and enjoys living in the Eastern Suburbs. She is skilled in Office Administration and has previous Real Estate Administration experience. Chris has a professional and friendly approach and is committed to working with our clients to ensure they achieve the best possible results. Chris enjoys walking, hiking and spending time with friends.

Desiree Burrell

Sales and Marketing

Desiree joined Residential Rentals in February 2011 to design our new website and marketing material for our Business Development Managers. She also assists in the Property Management Department. Desiree has assisted Alan in making  changes and implementing a lot of the new systems we now have in place such as the iPad. 

Desiree has had previous experience in Property Management and prior to that worked in the airline industry.

Desiree has a passion in natural healing and website design.

Alan Rolston

Managing Director

Alan is the owner of Residential Rentals.  Alan has run popular Property Investment Seminars and then started his own company building good quality investment properties.  He soon realised that the purchasers needed someone to manage their investment so Residential Rentals was incorporated back in 2001. 

Alan has a passion to be the best Property Management Company in New Zealand and to offer the best possible service using the latest technology. He believes that Residential Rentals can offer investors a service that no other Property Management Company can match.
